I worked with Al Lewis AKA Grandpa Munster for many years at Haunted Attractions and events. He gave me this doll ORIGINAL from "The Munsters" and signed it in gold. (This doll is over 40 years old). It has been one of my most valued possessions for the last 8 years. Doll stands 9" tall, and I will include doll stand AND solid red oak and glass mirrored doll curio. He will be raffled off at the Haunters for Hooters booth at 4pm on Saturday, June 14th 2008 during the Midwest Haunters Convention. Raffle tickets will each be $1.00.

A TOUCHING LETTER TO HAUNTERS FOR HOOTERS

Hello Jen,

I think this is a Great Idea, and a theme overlooked Darlene my Wife of 33 years was diagnosed with Stage 3b Breast cancer in January, 1998.3 days after her Thirty ninth Birthday, she was given less than 10 months to live, She went to Ohio State University Medical Center [ The James Cancer Center] their She went through Six weeks of painful and sickening treatment, With a [ BMT ] Bone Marrow Transplant.This July 30th,Will mark Her TEN YEARS!! of being in Cancer Remission. So The money helps As a result We / She started doing Halloween and we now do the largest Fund raising event at East Harbor State Park in Ohio. The park closed on labor day now during our event the first two weekends of October they have a waiting list six months in advance for Halloween,We are known as the Boo Crew. Her reason for doing Halloween is as she states Quote I've slept with the Grimm Reaper and Want to keep him close so I can keep an eye on him, Unquote. We have been attending most shows and are spending a few days at Midwest Haunter's Convention in Columbus Ohio.The great thing about MHC, Is that Sunday afternoon before we leave to return home. Is that Ohio State Cancer Center's reunion for Survivors is that day at the Columbus Zoo, It's 15 minutes from the convention center and right on our route home. Hope I have not bored you but The theme really is over due in this industry,Thanks for not being afraid to mix dark fun and the hint of death with cancer it seems taboo but it really is two separate things if can understand what I am trying to say.So in closing

THE DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS THROUGH HAUNTERS FOR HOOTERS

Funds will be over seen at the Haunters for Hooters booth by: Dusti Lewers, Nathan Zwiefel, Jon Tucker, and Jen Sharlow. All Credit cards must be run through Midwest Haunters Convention, and a check for the full amount (minus 4% for processing fees to the card companies) will be issued to Haunters for Hooters after the event. Haunters for Hooters itself can take cash, check or paypal. You will receive a hand written receipt upon donation. Should you choose paypal, you will receive a receipt from paypal for your records.

Many emails have been sent regarding donating to a specific woman. Should you choose this route, Haunters for Hooters suggests you make a personal check out to the lady you want to help as a PERSONAL DONATION. This will not go through Haunters for Hooters, although we can you get in touch with the specific person you wish to help.

IN REGARDS TO THE DISBURSEMENT OF HAUNTERS FOR HOOTERS FUNDS

Haunters for Hooters has gained COFFINLOADS of attention since the launch just a few weeks ago. Haunted House owners, haunt vendors, haunt actors, horror celebrities and many more are joining the fight against breast cancer. Donations are coming in by the HEARSEFULL!

Kentucky FX hand made a Mummy in a Cairo Crate valued at $700.00. The crew stayed until 3am on Memorial Day to finish the Mummy prop for us! This mummy is so realistic; you would not want to get pulled over in Cairo with him in your trunk! Thank you Mike Bisch!

Haunters for Hooters has some very exciting news! Lola Davidson, who appeared on "SEARCH FOR THE NEXT ELVIRA" has agreed to donate her dress she wore on the show! This item will be one of the SPECIAL raffle items with money gong to Kathryn DeSautell. Another raffle item will be an ORIGINAL GRANDPA MUNSTER DOLL from 1964, signed by Al in Gold. Item was given to Jen Sharlow when she was Al Lewis' personal assistant.

We have also received a GREAT item from Ernie Hudson from "The Ghostbusters". Not only did he send a signed photo, he has donated a signed "GHOSTBUSTERS #1 COMIC" in mint condition!

Camden Toy from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel will be donating autographs as well as the beautiful Pat Priest AKA Marilyn Munster! Dee Snider will also be sending some KILLER things our way!

Tom Straub has created a BEAUTIFUL art print of Nancy Allen, AKA Elmyra the Hearse Chic. These prints will be available at the Haunters for Hooters Booth at Midwest Haunters Convention in 11x14.
