NANCY ALLEN
Nancy Allen, who is also known as “Elmyra, the Hearse Chic”, was misdiagnosed in August 2007 with what doctors referred to as “only a cyst”.
On December 25th, Nancy was diagnosed with Stage 3 Cancer, resulting in her having to have one breast immediately removed. Like millions of Americans, Nancy has no health insurance and has had to pay for everything herself..
KATHRYN DESAUTELL
Kathryn is the owner of Lafitte's Landing in Wylie, Texas. In December of 2006, Kathryn was diagnosed with cervical cancer and underwent surgery, which left her unable to work and forced to live off of her savings and available credit.
Months later, Kathryn was further diagnosed with an advanced case of breast cancer and had to have a double mastectomy and chemotherapy.
